Tai-jutsu

Tai-jutsu is the close combat of feudal shadow warriors, the ninja. In Dutch means "technique of the body". It is that part of the ninjutsu that focuses on the unarmed defense. As the ninja had a very extensive knowledge, their defense system is therefore very versatile: the entire body is used to work with or in through body twists and blocking techniques, blows and punches, kicks, locks and chokes, distortions of joints, throws , immobilization and earthworks.
The exact origins of the classic tai jutsu may not be retrieved; But the fact is that the base is of Chinese origin. The Japanese have adapted the imported knowledge to their needs and ninjutsu proved a very effective martial art. The ninja were therefore widely praised and feared.
During the Meiji period (late 19th century), the martial arts with battlefield techniques were a bit like "barbaric" labeled many ryū were either closed down or changed to a system of self-development (Kyūdō and kendō), or converted to sports (judo) . The tai-jutsu must of course also to character development and a sense of responsibility to contribute, the techniques remain warfare techniques. Given this way of approaching it is not possible to organize competitions, because the intention is to carry out the exercises as realistic as possible (during clashes with assailants are no rules there after all).
Contrary to what many people think, the ninja were no tree climbing murderers who offered their services to the highest bidder. They gave a solid training behind us and had a huge responsibility and ethics towards their own philosophy regarding their clan and family, and in front of the shogun (warlord) for which they are the safety of the castle, espionage and sabotage missions performed and served as secret police.
The training of the ninja consisted of varied disciplines. Philosophy, nature observation, tea ceremony, flower arranging, literature and poetry, strategy, first aid, and of course the martial techniques are only some parts of the extensive school of shinobi warriors.
Asayama-ichinden ryū, Kukishinden ryū, Daken tai-jutsu, and others are part of Nin-jutsu (Ninpo Tai-jutsu).
Unlike the upper class samurai, who supported the Shinto faith, the ninja were Taoists. This - of Chinese origin - are in philosophy and yo (Chinese: yin and yang) central.
he Chinese characters for yin and yang mean respectively dark side and sunny side of a hill. The hill represents symbolic existence, around and play yo-changing game. They are considered which, although forces are opposite, but in each case complement each other, and are dependent on each other. They call each other in life and maintain each other.
They are not absolute quantities: as in decreases, yo increases, and vice versa; nothing is completely in or completely yo, each contains the germ of another. In constantly changing in yo, yo constantly changing into. Since all things in and yo are in different graduations, they are only in and yo relative to each other: the moon is in (cold, dense) relative to the sun, but the pale moonlight is yo relative to the nachtelijke sky and dark caves where no light penetrates.
The heart of the ninja is no dark bunker, but a beacon of love. He strives for universal peace for himself and for his neighbor. The shadow warrior is a peace-loving man, but will not hesitate, if necessary, to do so without any emotion what needs to be done to protect themselves and their families; He is a balanced mind that just takes an action out of necessity, not out of ambition, self-glorification or "kampioenitis' (the urge to winning battle games, which has nothing to do with learning a martial art).
